宏達電23日除息，每股配發2元現金股利，22日以平盤價168.5元作收，除權息參考價166.5元，宏達電宣布將成立「新興裝置(Emerging Devices)」部門，另外，將發表鎖定中階市場的新款手機，消息激勵股價表現，早盤以169.5元開盤，順利完成填息，早盤股價拉升至174元，漲幅超過半根停板。
根據「華爾街日報」報導指出，宏達電執行長周永明在發給員工的電郵中表示，將成立「新興裝置(Emerging Devices)」部門，宏達電證實這個消息，宏達電指出，「HTC One產品系列自推出後廣受全球消費者喜愛，我們也希望能藉此機會拓展市場、延續銷售動能、開創嶄新通路與商業模式」。
宏達電說，Jason Mackenzie與Mike Woodward在公司都是優秀領導者，擁有豐富實務經驗，並一同成功推出如新HTC One等許多創新產品。
宏達電表示，即日起，Jason Mackenzie除全球銷售業務外，將兼任HTC美國地區的營運業務；原北美地區總經理Mike Woodward則帶領甫成立的「Emerging Devices」部門，專注於產品創新與全球通路布局。
宏達電除了在高階手機部分持續刺激新HTC One、蝴蝶機系列的銷售外，近日更是連續發表新手機，除了HTC One mini之外，23日下午將與台灣大一起合作發表新手機。
宏達電近日股價面臨上市價格保衛戰，外資麥格理證券更是一口氣將目標價從148元砍至92元，創目前外資圈目標價最低紀錄，23日除息，在成立新興部門及新款手機將發表的激勵下，股價開高走高，大漲逾半根停板，早盤就完成填息。
