Thomson Reuters報導，根據25日公布的申報資料，避險基金Greenlight Capital Inc(知名基金經理人David Einhorn操盤)持有美國記憶體大廠美光科技(Micron Technology Inc.)2,302萬股、相當於2%股權。

Einhorn上週告訴CNBC電視台，美光可望受惠於記憶體晶片產業的整併活動。美光在7月底完成併購爾必達(Elpida)的所有程式。美光、三星電子以及SK Hynix所生產的DRAM、NAND晶片報價今年呈現上揚。

彭博社報導，Greenlight在今年第3季(7-9月)斥資4.02億美元買進美光股票。美光股價在第3季上揚21.91%、連續第4個季度走升。

美光2013會計年度第4季(2013年6-8月)營收自一年前同期的19.63億美元升至28.43億美元；純益達17.1億美元、遠優於去年(淨損2.43億美元)。美光總裁Mark Adams在財報電話會議上表示，本季(9-11月)DRAM均價將較上一季上揚5-7%，但NAND均價將下滑8-9%。

費城半導體指數成分股美光25日在正常盤下跌1.63%、收19.86美元；盤後上漲0.40%至19.94美元。年初迄今(截至11月25日收盤為止)，美光股價上漲幅度高達213.25%。美光25日盤中最高點(20.50美元)創2002年8月23日以來新高。
