硬碟藏750萬美元比特幣 丟垃圾場

一名英國資訊產業工作者瘋狂地在垃圾場找他扔掉的硬碟，因為裡面有價值750萬美元（台幣2.22億元）的網路貨幣比特幣（bitcoin）。

28歲的霍威爾斯2009年獲得7500個比特幣，當時一文不值，沒想到比特幣值一路飆升，26日首度升破1000美元。

霍威爾斯把硬碟放在抽屜裡多年，今年6月中到8月之間把它扔了。後來他在每個備分檔案裡找他的比特幣，都找不到，才想起來他丟掉的硬碟，必須到他居住的威爾斯新港的垃圾場去翻找。

霍威爾斯接受BBC電視台訪問時說：「垃圾場經理把我帶到垃圾山頂，我看到像足球場一樣大的垃圾場，心想沒機會了。經理說，3、4個月前送來的垃圾可能埋在1.5公尺深處。」

他說，大規模的尋找，通常需要20個幫手，還有挖掘機器和狗。「老實說，我現在沒有這個財力。」（法新社）
