為了與BMW 3-Series競爭，M-BENZ C-Class在1980年代發表第一代190E以來，便成為全球小型主管房車的代表車款，平均7年大改一次的C-Class車型，在第三代W204車型2007年發表以來，也逐漸的步入銷售尾聲，擁有如S-Class一般古典外型，全身掛滿自家安全科技的新世代車型也將呼之欲出，預料將在2014年1月底特律車展現身。
