 喜愛大馬力、高排氣量汽車的美國消費者，近幾年也被節能環保意識所影響，陸續將複合動力系統以及渦輪引擎列為車輛主要動力來源，至於歐洲市場常見的柴油渦輪引擎，在現今科技奧援下其動力輸出或節能表現都能與汽油引擎相對等。因此除了當地車廠外，歐洲許多車廠也已經計畫好會在未來幾年導入更多柴油車到美國販售。

| 電能汽車佈局再深化，德國SGL與韓國三星為碳纖維的無限商機共組合資企業

 電動車的發展將有望在今年再度呈現大爆發的情勢，因為歐洲有許多車廠（尤其是德國車廠）都將在今年陸續推出數款的電動車上市，包括動作十分積極的BMW、VW以及M-BENZ等等。而日前傳出有鑑於電動車領域的商機潛力，德國專責生產碳纖維材質原料的SGL Carbon AG，已經與韓國三星的石化公司組建合資企業，未來將從事碳纖維複合材料的生產及銷售的工作。
