嘉義市長竹派出所，日前在嘉義市東區鹿寮里歷史悠久的廟宇「鎮安宮」盛大舉辦社區治安、交通會議，會議主席由鹿寮里的大家長謝金榮主持，現場來賓有警察局戶口科科長陳英華、第二分局第三組組長及長竹派出所所長何忠明列席，該治安會議吸引鹿寮里70多位鄉親熱情參與，使得鹿寮里內歷史悠久廟宇鎮安宮內的五府千歲禮堂人潮擠擠，鄉親們也趁此機會連絡感情，民眾氣氛相當融洽。
鹿寮里里長謝金榮在主持社區治安、交通會議中，介紹鹿寮里內歷史悠久文化特產及該里巡守隊結合觀光特產保障鹿寮里社區安全等現況，會中更由嘉義市政府警察局交通隊、婦幼隊、刑警大隊與消防局逐一宣導引薦介紹「酒駕刑罰新規定上路」、「反詐騙宣導」、「婦幼安全防範」、「EZ-Police APP下載」與「嘉義市狹小巷弄宣導」，各單位於熱鬧氣氛時舉辦有獎徵答及發放禮品，讓現場氣氛HIGH到最高點。
最後由長竹所所長何忠明針對鹿寮里的治安斑點及交通熱點進行分析，更配合所長輕快、簡顯易懂的口吻抓住里民的心，更使鹿寮里民更深切體會到里內的治安缺點，也重拾首望相助的重要性，加深里民自保的觀念。
何忠明所長表示，社區會議的理念來自美國社區警政，雖然不是新觀念，但是有其參考性的重要，社區警政重點觀念在於守望相助的重要，本次藉由社區治安會議的機會，推深警力有限、民力無窮的觀念重要，杜絕不法於鹿寮里外。
