羅姆公司（ROHM）致力於將「超摩爾法則」（More than Moore）型半導體技術應用於感測器開發，為此公佈了能在醫療、建築等領域發揮作用的傳感技術。這些技術均利用攝影元件和感測器讀取紅外線、X光等不同波長的光波來進行分析。多數技術採用的是已知原理，除了羅姆之外，還有其他企業也在推進實用化，但羅姆希望運用半導體技術，在不遠的將來，把上述技術推廣到貼近生活的消費類產品之中。
