記者呂炯昌／台北報導 媒體報導，陸軍司令李翔宙已經向總統馬英九請辭司令職位，並向國防部申請退伍。不過，國防部表示，「絕無此事！」 根據《聯合晚報》報導，高華柱在國防部長任內積極推動參謀總長延任案，但始終無法在立法院通過，國防部懷疑李翔宙從中作梗，因而與李產生心結。洪仲丘案後，國防部人事大地震，某些人事安排，都有刻意圍堵李的想像空間。 媒體稱，李翔宙對國防部心灰意冷，7日下午請假，缺席國防部長嚴明主持的會議；當時國防部將領就研判，李翔宙走定了。李翔宙決心向國防部申請退伍，同時向馬英九請辭陸軍司令，表明他不戀棧職位。 針對媒體報導「李翔宙請辭」一事，經記者向國防部求證，國防部表示，「絕無此事！」
