知本溪水位暴漲潰堤 村長疏散村民

知本溪歷經八八風災及去年的天秤颱風，遺留大量的砂石，讓溪床墊高約3公尺，雖然台東縣政府曾進行小型疏竣工程，但還是緩不濟急，溫泉村民及溫泉業者非常擔心發生災害，今年多次向台東縣政府陳情，但始終得不到正面回應，今天天兔颱風過境，知本溪水位暴漲潰堤，溫泉村長廖金增就說：「最擔心的事還是發生了！」

潰堤後，廖金增將附近10多戶村民進行預警性撤離，安置在附近活動中心，並請來怪手吊掛防波堤補強土堤。
