成立十五周年的外埔長青學苑書法班三十八位成員熱衷學習，書寫上有極大成就，將在大甲高工展示，值得大家觀賞及勉勵。記者陳榮昌／攝
記者陳榮昌／台中報導 外埔區長青學苑開辦迄今已15週年，讓阿公阿嬤再創學習第二春，年年增加至今已有24班、計786會員，公所有計畫老人家適合的多元課程，而能獲得學習效異。區長劉陳吻表示，書法、國畫及手編等班，為慶祝難得的周年慶，訂二日起在國立大甲高工藝文室展示。由於都是長期累積所得精緻作品，值得大家共襄盛舉。 外埔長青學苑，成立十五周年，年年擴增班數，報名參加學員從三、四百人不斷提升至近八百人，阿公、阿嬤找自已興趣，學音樂、學英語、書畫等都可，發揮活到老學到老的精神，尤其在老師勤於教導，讓他們深深的肯定，更是愛上這學院，沒有風雨日的每天前往學習並與老朋友群聚在一起之樂。 大甲高工周校長及學校圖書館等各課室，這次大力協助二日在校園內的展出，區劉陳區長更對長青學苑業務推動的大力支持，讓學員們得以將成果展現，他們或許水準無法媲美專業大師，但每個作品都是阿公阿嬤們長用心累積的表現，從作品裡看出老師的用心與學員的努力，以及蘊藏著長者們許多人生歷練的話語，很值得大家用心來觀賞。 劉陳吻表示，書法班、國畫班、手編班呈現各班的特色，其中不乏八、九十歲的學員，在靜態成果展出，希望能觸動您參與的心，非常歡迎有更多的阿公、阿嬤加入我們外埔區長青學苑的行列，共同再創學習第二春。
