美國11月汽車銷售量換算成年率高達1600萬輛，遠高於10月的1520萬輛，也超過市場預估的1575萬輛，主因汽車業者打折促銷，以及輕型卡車暢銷，帶動總銷售量增加。每輛車的折扣金額達2500美元以上。通用、克萊斯勒、豐田及日產的銷售量都年增10%以上，福特增加7%。
