【吳慧芬／高雄報導】公費肺炎鏈球菌疫苗將於明年元旦起開放2012年至2013年出生滿一歲的幼兒接種，以減少其感染肺炎鏈球菌導致的嚴重肺炎、敗血症及腦膜炎等易致死併發症的機率，高雄市衛生局今提醒符合資格家長，屆時要帶家中寶貝前往接種。
 
衛生局指家長帶幼兒去醫療院所接種時，應攜帶兒童健康手冊及健保IC卡，少數幼兒接種後可能會發生注射部位疼痛、紅腫的反應，一般於接種2天內恢復；發燒、倦怠等嚴重副作用則極少發生。
