澳洲派遣600軍人至中東　對抗伊斯蘭國

澳洲總理艾伯特（Tony Abbott）今天表示，該國將會派遣600名軍人、最多10架軍機至阿拉伯聯合大公國，加入美國領導、對抗遜尼派激進組織「伊斯蘭國」（Islamic State，IS）的國際聯盟。
 
法新社報導，澳洲2天前將其恐怖攻擊警示提高至「高」級別，憂心澳洲籍聖戰士會從伊拉克與敘利亞返回澳洲，帶來國安威脅。艾伯特強調，在華盛頓當局提出正式請求之後，做出此次軍事部署，牽涉大約400名空軍人員、200名陸軍人員。（林奐成╱綜合外電報導）
