Excel functions:

Xbar=average(a1:a50)=73340.3

S=stdevp(a1:a50)=24648.47041

2.求母體汽車傳動器故障前所跑出的平均哩程數之95%信賴區間。

Ans:

Z(95%)=1.96

Mu=Xbar+-1.96*S/√50

=73340.3+-1.96*3486

=66508.09257~80172.50743

=66508~80173

3.關於車主對傳動器的抱怨，你的統計結果有何意義?

Ans:

min=66508(miles)*1.61(km/mile)

=107,078(km)

=路程表轉一圈就損壞

=建議至少要轉2圈

4.如果在信賴水準下，希望邊際誤差是5000哩，則需要多少筆維修資料？

Ans:

e=5000/73340.3=0.06817534

n=1/e^2=215.....ans
