埃及政府十八日晚間表示，加薩地區的停火已經再次延長廿四小時，至當地時間十九日午夜（台北時間廿日清晨五時）為止，使交火的以色列與巴勒斯坦組織哈瑪斯雙方得以在埃及居間調解下，交涉比較長久的安排架構。官員說，以國上個月八日開始攻擊加薩地區至今，累計已造成二○一六名巴人與六十六名以國軍民喪生。（英國廣播公司19日電）
